In his extensive travels to Europe, Daniel Byrne found inspiration while studying the Paris-based “art informel” movement from the 1950s.  The complexity of the paintings requires a tedious preparation of the canvas for the final paint.  While in Provence, Daniel learned about the secrets of using locally refined Okra pigments to create an earthy base.  From there, he uses both the brush and knife to create texture while adding a blend of different colors.  Using similar techniques that Jackson Pollack mastered to create chaos in a controlled manner, Daniel has successfully created a unique style of abstract paintings that expands the boundaries of Impressionistic art.
